K Project Episode 3

*Warning Spoilers Below*

Suddenly, we've warped back to episode 1 where the peaceholders (which we learn are called Blues or Scepter 4. Which was actually mentioned in episode 1 as well. Boy do I pay attention or what?) meet with the group we now know as Homra. Classic Red vs Blue in this series. So this is what happened between the events of episode 1 and 2... The guy that looks like the leader of Homra is named Mikoto Suoh and he did not fight Munakata the leader of the Scepter 4 brigade which we saw in the first episode. Instead, Suoh let Munakata arrest him; that's why we briefly saw Suoh in his jail cell in episode 2. There's gotta be a secret reason since Munakata is trying to slam him for life. As I thought, the character that is Suoh is indeed a King, the King of Red. Safe to say that all Kings have some reference to color barring Ichigen, the Colorless King. We get a brief mention of a green faction from Munakata as he's researching Yashiro following Kuroh's actions (I'm guessing).

Kuroh 2012 "Since i'm done eating, I'm going to kill you." Neko and Yashiro immediately follow by asking for seconds lmao. Yashiro gets into a more revealing discussion with Kuroh about Kings. We learn that there are 7 of them including a gold one. Saruhiko apparently used to be a member of Homra.
Back to Yashiro's dorm, he continues to try an convince Kuroh he's not the murderer attempting to induct the Colorless King title into himself. We found out that Neko is what they call a Strain which means they are characters that have gained powers without a King. People gain powers from their King's distribution. That's interesting.

This color theme must really be a common concept in anime or J-culture. Durarara had color gangs as well and then Accel World also featured a color legion system in the form of Six Kings of Pure Color. Again, Kings. I just now realize that Homra is like Homura which is often associated with red flames. Yashiro or Shiro is White just like how Kuroh or Kuro is black. Sigh... this is just like how it took me halfway into season 2 of Kuroko no Baske to realize the same thing with the names of the Generation of Miracles members.

Thanks for reading!
