Naragami Aragoto Episode 1

*Warning Potential Spoilers Below*

It begins with a glimpse to Yato's past. I can begin to recall the events from the first season. Bishamon is picturing his past and we are reminded of her hatred against Yato. The OP song is pretty cool and fun. Yato's on the side of the street with his weapon doing any job for the lowest amount of money. It's all coming back to me now. Ahh yes Yukine and Hiyori. Since she's in her house, I am reminded of the time Yukine spent a night there and had nasty thoughts. 

First job of the second season

Those eye things are called phantoms. It's really creepy how that baby looked after the phantom spawned. I am really enjoying the comedic parts after the first action scene. Another fight scene occurs with Bishamon's crew. This first episode of the new season is doing a great job of providing insight to the story and system of what happens in their world. A little bit before the end we are shown Yukine still longs for friends and companionship before he stumbles upon another regalia spirit. Before he knew it, he already revealed that he serves Yato through their small talk and his new acquaintance serves Bishamon of course. The cliffhanger is that Kugaha, a new character also serving Bishamon, knows quite a bit of info to say the least, and seems to have been behind the phantom summoning from the baby incident.

I thoroughly enjoyed this first episode of season 2. The plot is getting introduced correctly and comical areas are well timed. Above all else, it brought back my memories of what happened in season 1 without direct flashbacks (barring the whole Calamity God Yato flashback). So one flashback that took some seconds and I was ready to accept this new season. I will pick up this anime for now.
